Footnotes - How to accommodate sticky navbar was created by DSinOR
Hello.
My site uses a sticky navbar.
Your footnote extension is working properly.
When a reader clicks a [1] footnote link within the article text, your extension "jumps" the reader down to the related reference in the Notes section at the bottom of the article block.
When the reader clicks the [1] link in the Notes section, your extension "jumps" the reader back up to the location of the [1] link in the article text at page top.
My issue: page top is always obscured by my sticky navbar.
I need to modify your code for the "return to prior text position" event. I need to pad it by 55px so that the return position is always 55px below page top.
Can you assist me with this change?
Also, a recommendation:
I use the Tabulizer extension for displaying user selected content. Like your extension, the Tabulizer extension expands the capabilities of the TinyMCE editor.
The author of Tabulizer has managed to add functionality buttons to the TinyMCE plugin toolbar, such that his functions can be called by a button click instead of by typing {command} and {/command} within the screen editor content.
The convenience of your extension could perhaps be enhanced by the same capability.
Thanks!
Dave
